Rest Periods
At Veho, both safety and flexibility are top priorities. As an independent contractor, you are free to take rest periods at any time during your route provided you complete the deliveries you accepted for that day. To support your well-being and help you stay on track, the Driver app provides reminders during longer routes.
If you are on a longer route or your route is taking longer than expected, you will receive a reminder to take a 30‑minute “rest break” if you haven’t already. If you’ve already rested, you can simply dismiss the reminder. Otherwise, you can start a break in the app and resume deliveries when you’re ready.
When you start a Driver App-recommended break, a 30-minute timer will begin for your benefit. While on break, you won’t be able to use the app until you tap the “Resume Route” button, which you can choose to whenever you’re ready to resume deliveries. At the end of the 30 minutes, you’ll receive a reminder to resume if you haven’t already. We recommend you enable push notifications so you don’t miss the reminder.
If your route is taking significantly longer than expected, you will be presented with a second rest period reminder. We anticipate this will be infrequent.
In the unlikely case that you are actively delivering using the Driver App for more than 12 hours within 24 hours, under Prop 22 you are required to take an uninterrupted 6-hour break. This rest period is mandatory for your safety and the safety of others.
