Net Earnings Floor with Prop 22
As an app-based delivery driver in California, you have the security of a guaranteed minimum earnings safety net (“Net Earnings Floor”). Thanks to Prop 22, you’re guaranteed to earn at least 120% of the applicable local minimum wage for your Engaged Time, plus $0.36 per Engaged Mile (2025 rate).
This guarantee ensures that, no matter what, your pay won’t fall below the guaranteed minimum. If you earn more than the guarantee, you always keep the earnings.
Your guaranteed earnings are based on:
- Engaged Time – The total time you’re actively delivering, from when you check in at the Veho warehouse until your final delivery is complete.
- Engaged Distance – The distance you drive during your route while completing deliveries
Your Engaged Time and Engaged Miles are added up across all your completed routes over each 14 day pay period. If your total earnings for those routes (“Gross Total Earnings”) don’t meet the Net Earnings Floor, Veho makes up the difference. Gross Total Earnings are calculated before any Occupational Accident Insurance (OAI) and Non-Attempt deductions are applied.
This adjustment will be available in your open balance in the Driver app with an Earnings True Up label no later than 14 days after the applicable pay period ends.
If you are not eligible for additional earnings, you will see an earnings adjustment of $0 in the Driver app.
Here’s how this looks in your app (note this just an example):

Mileage Rate Updates
The per-mile rate is set each year by the California State Treasurer’s Office. For 2025, the rate is $0.36 per Engaged Mile.
Engaged Time & Miles
Engaged time and miles are calculated based on when Driver Partner is actively engaged in completing a route which shall include* but is not limited to:
- Actively scanning and loading packages at the warehouse after check‑in
- Successfully delivering packages to the correct address in the location instructed by the customer
- Returning packages back to the warehouse after a delivery attempt is made in good faith using commercially reasonable efforts
*Not included in either Engaged time or miles:
- Any time spent on activities unrelated to successfully delivering packages, such as personal errands
- Time and mileage for delivering a package from an accepted route that you abandon or don’t attempt to deliver
- Any activity that is fraudulent — the Company may exclude time or miles if necessary to prevent or correct fraud
Tip: Keep your location services set to “Always On.” This helps confirm when you’re actively engaged in completing a route.
Earnings Statements in the App
You can view your full earnings in the Driver app by going to the Earnings screen.
- Balance toggle: Shows earnings that have not yet been processed as payments.
- History toggle: Shows processing, completed, and any failed payments if applicable
Both views display earnings by route, including any deductions for Occupational Accident Insurance (OAI), Non‑Attempt Adjustments, and any other Earnings Adjustments. You’ll also see other earnings‑related items such as Earnings True‑Up (Learn more) and Healthcare Subsidy (Learn more).
Instant cashout (“RTP”) is currently unavailable in California. We expect this to go live in the coming months.
Once it is live:
- If your bank account is RTP-eligible, you will be able to cash out your earnings instantly by swiping the instant cashout button. To see if your bank account is eligible for RTP (Real-time payment), please see this list of eligible banks.
- If your bank account is not RTP‑eligible, Veho will automatically process your payments on the next Monday or Wednesday, with deposits typically arriving in 2–3 business days. You can view the current payment schedule here.
